All this from someone who kills a much younger person than he,
TWICE, because this person killed Kasha. Then, after avenging
the "innocent girl", proceeds to slaughter every single citizen
of Shastaan.

I wouldn't take anything too seriously from this guy, as he
himself didn't even fight Belgarion to get to his position on
the combat rankings, either. *shrug*

Oh well, such is life.
