Damnation

I have grown into the belief from my many years as a healer that there
is no knot so tightly tied that it cannot be unwoven. I hold to this
belief because it has yet to be proven wrong. The basis of Vampirism
is, quite simply, a degeneration of the soul. It is more complex than
this, of course; but because it is based in the soul, it can be
touched with healing. And there has never been anything that I have
ever been able to touch that I have not eventually worked out a way
to repair.

The specifics are still in their development stage, so I am not yet
to a point where I can give you a definite list of what exactly occurs
in the body of someone when they take upon themselves the curse of
Belladona. It's still currently all theory. But, from what I have
seen in the cases I have reviewed over the years, what happens during
the 'embrace' is both predictable and quantifiable. Because it is
definable, it can be studied. Because it can be studied, I believe it
can be undone.

What I'm dealing with right now is that this matter has never been at
the forefront of my scientific research before. I have always studied
the vampiric condition in a manner that placed it as a substructure
of another point of my research. But now that I am looking more
closely at what I have noticed before, I am seeing doorways yet
unopened.

I don't plan on being able to do this by myself. Even in my hubris I
do not expect to unweave the many changes that overtake the spirit
of a Consanguine alone. But with time, I believe it can be both
understood and overcome. There are always soltutions available when
enough resources are put into the task of searching.
