Greetings, Aetolia.
I would never have thought the day would so soon come that a reason to
post publicy would occur. Yet it has.
I have recently disavowed the Magi Guild, yet I remain a Mage. I know in
As a 'rogue' (rather a misnomer, I think), I have been forced
to face alone, the demons of my past... in that the Magi have many, and
I counted myself among them. Accordingly, I saught the descriptions of
two of Aetolia's newest Guilds, the Illuminaries and the Daru.
Consequent to this brief investigation, I was struck by this:
"...displeased with the stagnation of the Guild..." and
...no longer willing to accept apathy...
I, too, look "forward to the future to guide (my) actions of today", and
I, too, have been exhausted by the "mire of apathy, complacency and
corruption."
I believe my views are not singular - they are not atypical of several
who remain members of the Magi Guild.
I ask, simply, that those that share them - my beliefs in Honor, Courage
and Commitment, that believe in the principle of respect... that they
contact me by message. I do not wish to foment the seeds of doubt - I
wish only to know those who have already witnessed it. I have no real
plans to be a catalyst for some world-changing event (how presumptive!)
Rather, I just want those that I might call friend in arms, friend in
belief and principle, to reveal themselves to me.
I am a mortal that holds these aforementioned principles dearly, as I
would my own life. I promise not to reveal your identity without your
explicit sanction. I will not use your name or number to seek power or
authority. I only wnat to know if I am single in my disappointment. In
my true belief that change can occur - for the better. For this - being
alone in belief - would surely signal the End. I believe there is better
among us. I believe that there are several that wish as I do - for a
cataclysmic event that would reshape the Magi. And I wish to be allied
with them, not blind in ingnorance nor allegiance. I wish to seek
guidance, counsel and consolation in my recent departure by knowing that
there are others.
I will discover another place, another band of mortals, where 'apathy'
and 'corruption' are not tolerated. I believe the day is coming. I seek
it as would many seek their Divinity.
Respectfully submitted before the witness of all,
Shahvani Shahpur
