The Forbidden

In Your name I wove the web
of Corruptioin's fine net
I was the widow

I bore your taint
my truths unheard
for fear, for hate
Barred and Barren
I gave my life
Sin and crime
tear and pain
forsworn, foresaken
Sacrificed for You
I stand alone
naked and bare
Deaf to Your Voice
slave to my past
I cannot change
all that was
I cannot change
what still is
Who I am
or what I am
I am the widow
The pretty poison
but I'm not Yours
As the snake sheds
to grow and live
So I shed You
born again
Whole and Free

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Variach, in the year 132 MA.
