The Meaning of Sorrow

Deep among the evergreens, I sit and wonder why.
You stole my heart and took it with you
We once spoke of forever, and love that never died,
But you have left this realm forever, and I have never felt pain as I do
now.
My tears stain the ground, and my chest is a void but for my sorrow.
My only respite is that I know you have gone to a better place,
that you are happier there, though you were so young.
I want you to know that you have left behind the ones that loved you
most,
that we think of you more than you know.
When I find my heart, there will be a place there for you,
And long after the tears have stopped flowing,
You will be remembered.
I will miss you, Dear Skara,
With all my heart,
for you will never be dead to me,
and your memory will live forever.
