One Moment

Long have I thought upon a moment.
When it was I sadly cannot say.
Like wind through the grass, or a change in a cloud,
It happened quite quickly, without ever passing aloud.
On a night, like this one, I once walked.
Amidst the park and with myself talked.
As the rain slowly dripped upon my face,
The revelation came while glancing at the stars, deep in space.
In the darkness, as the sun began to alight,
It was then I knew I loved you with all of my might.
Had it been the words? Had it been the smiles?
It was that with you, I forgot my troubles for the longest while.
A perchance meeting had led to such,
Mayhaps forever I should not complain of luck.
For the gift of you, I cannot repay,
But for an eternity to try, I will pray.

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Lleian, in the year 128 MA.
