beautiful poison seeping
through veins
pulsing to the surface

your theft of innocence
leaves scars too thick to heal -
crude, jagged lines
across soft fleshy bits
destroying safety of the muse

your life a tangle
living with what you've done -
sacrificing the flower
deep into swirling shadows
shards from shattered bones
piercing your light

making it bleed
