Absence

Though you may linger
And though I'm gone
I know our love
Will still carry on

In nights I dream
Of your sweet arms
Of your softest lips
Of your tender charms

Though I'm not here
I know you're true
Though I can't show it
I'm still in love with you

From the unconscious lands
I send you a kiss
And in my dreams
It's you I miss

Forgive my absence
Wait a little longer
And if we survive
I know we'll be stronger

Petey, I loved you then, when I made you mine forever, and I love you
still. I dream of you and miss you more than you can ever imagine...
I'll love you so long as I draw breath, so long as I exist and even in
the end, I will love you

Your adoring wife,
Meli

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Midautumn, in the year 127 MA.
