Poetry News Post #56

Fake

Written by: Infernal Squire Ulinquaa Haddn, Ward of Nolvous

Addressed to: Everyone

Not a beam of sunlight
Nor a solitary pebble
Would dare exert the might
To pierce the calm still
Of glassy waters, so sheer
Legions deep,
Or so they appear
Who knows if underneath
The clear facade
Someone weeps
Thinking it odd
That one so misunderstood
Could possibly be so clear
For to fear even the sun's forgiving rays
Creates days wholly bleak
Yet seek the sound of her as she weeps
Keep looking, see how the waters glisten?

It is said, still waters runneth deep
And do not make even a peep
When is it not when it appears?
Why, when you are able to hear
A silent voice
It is your choice

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Chakros, in the year 62 MA.
