Just a moment of your time,
take out of the grandness of life,
just a moment in your reality,
torn free and given a life of its own,
just a moment of understanding,
tormented by the lack of trust,
Just a moment of compassion,
ripped from the heart of a mother,
Just a moment of love,
scorned within a cold hearted lie,
Just a moment in pleading,
To which hence you have died,
To gather all the moments,
to hold them all close,
To find a rhyme or reason,
for the loss of what you care for most,
to Find a foothold to pull yourself up,
only to tumble back down,
It takes a thousands of such moments,
but only one to tear your heart down,
Hold close in your heart,
protect it with your mind,
keep it warm within your body,
until the ends of time.
savor every instance,
relive every second,
for once the moment has past,
just a moment...becomes your last...
