Damn

Past rent oaths that damned me thrice,
Of faults of mine and damning vice,
What damns me most; my sacrifice -
A gift returned. Not given twice.

Damn the rampant sylvan flow,
Damn you, Aechros - ticking slow,
Damn the slaves that built Death Row,
Damn every Fae I dare not know.

Damn this feckless fucking age,
Damn my patience, damn my rage,
Damn the turning of the page,
Damn the bloody gilded cage.

Damn the blossom, damn the child,
Damn the hopeless weeping wild,
Damn the lightsworn rankly piled,
Damn beguiler, damn beguiled.

Damn my grandfather's great meridian,
Damn the lava, damn the obsidian,
Damn the singing plinth molivdian,
Damn me, damn me to Oblivion.

Damn the cold of strangling chains,
Damn the noose that warms my pains,
Damn my heart's song with the rains,
Damn me, damn me who remains.

Damn flesh I scraped from besieged bone,
Damn vengeance sworn to seize Death's throne,
Damn recreant blade, damn seeds windblown,
Damn the ne'er embracing stone.

Damn soldier turned to follow Strife,
Damn all fathers, damn all life,
Damn the hearth and damn the wife,
Damn blunted fang and broken knife.

Damn my pulse that hurts this way,
Damn screaming sky, damn roots who pray,
Damn those who snarl, damn those who spay,
Damn mortals with a King to slay.

Damn the burning in my chest,
Damn the striving, damn the rest,
Damn how I nearly damn confessed,
Damn he whom I most detest.

Penned by my hand on Gosday, the 11th of Severin, in the year 22 AC.
