A Wound on the World

Written by: Edhain de Verdigris

in past wars my cloak tattered, behind ghost's reins

upon the totem blood spattered, from screaming veins

by the bloodsmoke we scattered, tween windmill vanes

in the wake of what mattered........ a wound remains

lie a chokechained cur battered, thirstslaking pains

through your lie my heart shattered, forsaken chains

yet by truth my hearth shattered, i break the chains

may death-rattle rasp battered, world-breaking pains

in the break of what mattered....... a wound remains

by cold autumn winds scattered, tween windmill vanes

may world's blood be spattered, from screaming veins

... let injustice be tattered. i take the reins. ...

Penned by my hand on Falsday, the 17th of Slyphian, in the year 18 AC.
