Researching is fun: a villanelle

To cast away the Shadow's blight
We delve beyond the last Abyss,
Ever reaching for the Light.

I struggle now to sleep at night,
Haunted by hypotheses.
To cast away the Shadow's blight,

"Too bright" has lost all meaning. We ignite:
A new heart now commits,
Ever reaching for the Light.

New questions harbor strange delights,
Catalyzing premises!
To cast away the Shadow's blight-

What care have I for might
(Or even sense or wits),
But for reaching for the Light?!

So set the sacred pyre alight
For Spirit, burning fathomless
To cast aside the Shadow's blight.
I reach out yet for endless Light.

Penned by my hand on Gosday, the 2nd of Chakros, in the year 15 AC.
