Dandelion

---

Scattering away its seeds cast across the earth
Soft fronds of sunshine dancing in the wind
I found You where I least expected
Growing through the stone of ancient ages

A threshold where the moss and water cages
The river's flowing waters murmur to me
'No more than a weed, it is, it must be'
Yet once your gold light withers against the gloom

Your tiny flying wings emerge, alight by moon
The desiccated stem and root,
Trampled by nature underfoot as many utter
'No more than a weed, it is, it must be'

Defy them all, for they cannot stop what comes
Not even where you grew
To sow yourself among the flowers,
For you are one too

You have weathered, shade and tempest
To be mellow, joyful bright
A creator shunned you, scorn'd you to see,
'No more than a weed, it must be'

Now a field defiant against the mist
In spite of the shadows that have grown
Become or die, in Your heart
For we have always known

Everything, and all at once, You are,
Wherever You may be
To flit your seeds and scatter
We will find You
Near-beyond the silver sea

I found You where I least expected
I found You, in my heart

---

Unforgotten.

Penned by my hand on Quensday, the 3rd of Lleian, in the year 510 MA.
