Baptism, Black

Drenched in black and jade,
How quickly they do fade,
And poised my gemstone heart,
As all of me falls apart,
Drown me, drag me deep,
My secrets Yours to keep,
Succor that ebon milk,
As babe swaddled in silk,
Just so, I spiral down,
Slithering, tail to crown,
An ache in breast, perverse,
Such things cannot reverse,
The cantacles that I sing,
Will all Corruption bring.

Penned by my hand on Falsday, the 15th of Variach, in the year 498 MA.
