Four Quatrains

1
How many lunar phases I
awaited your return to me
beneath a frozen dome of sky
your warmth near the sun than thee?

2
As light as life, as dark as death,
this pledge of love, this useless breath,
this band from finger never part,
this blood, my all, a silent heart.

3
A dozen girls entombed beneath the grass
like perfect porcelain dolls encased in glass,
like naked corpses able to entice,
like virgins ready for a sacrifice.

4
Crying girl beneath the dead oak tree,
dry your pretty eyes so you can clearly see
there is only one true way to be free.
Now quick drink this before you disagree.

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Lleian, in the year 302 MA.
