Beware of the Dog

Beware of the Dog

Beware of the lost dog, for his is liable to bite.
I am not sure if he's rabid, but it's quite likely.
He likes to hump the leg of every female he sees.
It's just the way he is, he can't help being flighty.

From what I hear his name is something like Fester,
which is ironic since that's the kind of wound
he will cause if he sinks his teeth into you.
A bleeding, painful, festering gash deep to your soul.

This dog has a tendency to go from house to house
Seeking someone to love him, because he can't live without.
But know this, if you let him in he will tear up your rugs,
all of your furniture and then run.

This dog is of short stature and he speaks rather well.
He has a beautiful coat, the exterior is very nice,
But his inside is all messed up, lacking a few parts;
Most obvious of these is a heart.

He claims to have been beaten and abused by previous owners.
I can vouche that this is certainly not true, in fact just the opposite.
I have known his previous owners and each one treated him quite well.
It's just an excuse he uses to draw a new one into his hell.

Three owners at once, this dog is a glutton.
Soaking up the love and attention like savoring mutton.
He takes what he wants and leaves the rest behind.
Broken hearts, broken dreams, and worst of all? Broken lives.

So, if you see this lost dog I would suggest shooing him away
Before he tells his "sad story" just to get you to stay.
He will whine, he will bark, he will whimper all day
But whatever you do, don't fall into the trap he lays.

Beware the rabid horndog.
