Poetry News Post #1282

Do you feel the waters rise around you?
Soaking you through
Threatening to rise higher
Consuming your senses
And flooding your lungs
Vacuous emptinesss filled
But it is so much more
So thick to feel it
Burning destruction
Its gleeful methods echoing in your mind
Obliteration,
Condemnation
Annihilation.

Its destroying me again in every way I hate
To leave nothing but myself behind
Every painted faade and beautiful puppet
Burnt to cinders and washed in the tide.
The scattered ashes catch your vision,
As the water laps to drown over you fully
Blurring all that you know
Its washing it away
Salvage will never be.

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Lleian, in the year 151 MA.
