Poetry News Post #1041

you who this is for will know it

Written by: Black Rose, Reecillia Thetis, Van's Seductress

Addressed to: Everyone

Lies upon lies, upon a bed of sweet rose
My trust in you gone, as a winter wind blows
Your thoughtlessness tore into my heart
And now it is time, and we must part

You took my kindness and you threw it away
You whom I trusted more than I can say
I took you into my life and gave you all I had
And you took for it for granted, and you made me sad

I've tried so hard to forgive your past sins
But this time was too much, this is where it ends
My broken heart can take no more hurt from you
Although this breaks my heart too

I will set you aside, as you once set me
I will pass you by, like I do not see
I will turn a deaf ear where you are concerned
I will be sure that you are not heard

And when you are lonely do not seek me out
Your pain will not be heard even if you shout
And when you are heartbroken, forget I exist
Because from this day forward, you will not be missed

You know who you are that deserved this writing, and I assure you I mean
it. I'm through with you. You are dead to me now. I know you not and you
know not me. We are just strangers passing on the street. Don't try to
speak to me, I wish not to hear your words, because they are all lies.
May the Gods bring you a joyous life, but a life without me in it as
your friend.

-Reecillia Thetis

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Lanosian, in the year 134 MA.
