Believing Im the wind maybe
So careless and so free
Or perhaps its you, so ever close to me
Soft whispers through the leaves
The night so close against us all
Dark silence pressing in
Perhaps this freedom we all seek
Is hidden there within
Nostalgic memories of lost thoughts
Abandoned questions in our mind
The mirror in the sky has brought
This lie behind our eyes
Soft kisses brush my lips it seems
Though no ones standing there
The sense of violation grows
Hands entangling in my hair
My panicked breaths creep up my throat
Minds screaming to take flight
As whispered words that I once wrote
Set wrong what once made right

I can feel my thoughts sliding down
Pressed up against the wall
Slipping way to somewhere else
Where lost thoughts trip to fall
Pushed against the glass in false hope
Other eyes flicker there too
There waits the noose for round our necks
Dreamers reality eschewed
Slipped off this floor that grounds the slant
Safe haven for me lost
Addled cries no longer extant
As the wind tears us apart

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Ios, in the year 134 MA.
