Kivod'tis Bardic Contest

Written by: Silse, the Xorali sage

Storytellers, oral historians, and all other keepers of memory! Now is
your opportunity to be recognized for your service!

Years ago now, I was appointed as the leader of the Kivodo Tisa, known
as the Kivod'tis, or Rememberers. We are charged with keeping the truths
of our ancestors alive, not on dead wood and ink but on our tongues and
in our minds. Our dozen members are scattered throughout Aetolia and
have agreed to tell their tales to any who ask. Now, I have decided to
open entry to but a few other like-minded individuals. I am interested
in tales never before revealed to the world - stories your grandmother
told you by fireside, legends passed down for generations, and myths
believed by our ancestors. I am especially interested in tales that
reveal something new about the history of the world.

I would, however, encourage you to keep them relatively short, for the
ease of telling. For example, the stories of the origins of the races
(such as HELP XORANORIGIN) are of a good appropriate length.

If you have such a tale, and wish to join the Rememberers, leave it in
the hands of my friends at the Great Aetolian Library in the form of a
scroll or book. They have erected a box in which to collect your
tangible submissions. Simply put your scroll (or book) in the box at the
entryway. They will, however, empty the box and deliver it to me at the
end of the Aetolian year 204. If you have not entered your submission by
then, it will be too late!

Though I have no love for the Muse, we have also been recognized as
members of the Bardic Fellowship of Iosyne. Winners will be granted
apropriate ranks (and associated credit prizes) in such. In addition, a
few storytellers may potentially be granted membership to the Kivod'tis.
I hope to hear or read your story soon!

Silse
Keeper of the Kivodo Tisa
Sage of Xoral

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Chakros, in the year 202 MA.
