Hey folks!

The Tribulation of the Hobgobbler has been endured, and that means it's once again time to head into December for everybody's favourite promotion: stockings! For those unfamiliar, stockings are available from the website in celebration of Celesmas. Ironbeard will fill them up a short while after they are hung, and the owner can then open them and collect their contents! As always, they can be obtained from the Aetolia website at www.aetolia.com/credits under 'artifact packages'.

See HELP STOCKINGS for all stocking-related commands and for a complete breakdown of prizes! I've included a short summary below:

Festive or Trick Stocking, minimum value: 16 credits
Fancy Stocking, minimum value: 45 credits, guaranteed at least 1 relic coffer
Grand Stocking, minimum value: 200 credits, guaranteed at least 2 relic coffers
Extravagant Stocking, minimum value: 600 credits, guaranteed at least 5 relic coffers

This year the relic coffers have the following selection available in them:

In addition, there's a couple of new relics:
(NEW) procurement (a writ of requisition)
When crafting, if you lack specific commodities but have the gold in your inventory, this writ automatically purchases the necessary materials from Esterport's market to complete the design instantly. Only works for items found in Esterport's NPC markets or crafting offices, and only if they're not already sold out.

(NEW) ambience (an ambience token)
- Ever had extremely terrible luck obtaining an ambience token? This might be a better option for you.
- Pieces for this can be traded in for 100 cr, and are still extremely rare - though less rare than the full token itself!
- The ambience token lets you redeem for a line/emote that periodically fires around your character. This is a single sentence, roughly no longer than 200 characters. Subject to admin approval, but some basic rules are: needs to fit the game lore; can't be too silly; if magic is involved you should have access to that particular magic; if God stuff is involved you need permission from that God. It also can only affect you and not other people/the environment, etc.


In addition to the relic coffers, you'll also encounter racial relic coffers. And since it's been a long while since we've created new racial relics, you'll find these new ones inside:
(NEW) spring_wings - verdant gossamer wings
(NEW) summer_wings - blistering gossamer wings
(NEW) autumn_wings - russet gossamer wings
(NEW) winter_wings - rimed gossamer wings
These racial relics confer a different seasonal-based flair (vernal flair for spring, estival flair for summer, autumnal for autumn and wintry for winter). Additionally, should you have that flair enabled during their corresponding season, you will leave behind lingering traces (e.g. icy footprints, scattered leaves) in rooms that you walk through that fade after a few seconds.

(NEW) plowtusks - heavy plow tusks
The large tusks of a Gajatma can be used in place of a hoe for tilling your fields in Farming, as well as a shovel for digging. This does not confer the advantages of an artifact hoe or shovel BUT will take advantage of those if you own them.

(NEW) trunk - a leathery trunk
The trunk of a Gajatma can be filled at a water source for you to later spray someone with it. Simply FILL TRUNK and then SPRAY <target>. The target will take minor blunt damage and if they're stinky, it'll remove their stench. You have to fill your trunk again after spraying. You can also choose to DOUSE with it: AB DOUSING.

(NEW) carrion_eye - a scavenger's glass eye
Confers the Sanguis PERVADE ability.

(NEW) lizardtongue - a long, flickering tongue
The lizard tongue is a mirror of the tentacle racial relic: it confers the YANK ability with its own messages, as well as letting you TONGUEGRAB items in place of GET.

Some extra highlights include:
- There is also a steed whistle found in Grand and Extravagant stockings: (NEW) an enormous, flat-billed pelican!
- The minipet selection is: (NEW) a brash pelican chick, (NEW) a miniature buffalo, (NEW) a clicking clockwork squirrel, a fuzzy camel calf, a playful snow leopard kitten, a bhfaol pup, a miniature hermit crab, a dimimutive yellow-spotted lizard, a goggle-bearing hound, an armored viper, and a buzzing honey bee!
- Thanks to a couple of inspired new Celani, the new minipets have some small interactions:
* The pelican and its chick can be fed fish, and also will interact with each other.
* The buffalo has a response to being greeted and a small chance at reacting to someone entering the room.
* The squirrel has a response to being greeted and can be fed certain types of nuts.
- Style scrolls for: elegant, stiff, gory, phasic, frosty, and leaping, with a chance at receiving a style point to spend at the shop.
- Cracked scroll cases, which contain three random Compendium Pages from the existing selection of pages.


Each stocking tier below extravagant also has a very small chance of rolling a big prize in the form of a 400-2000 credit artifact!

Every 150 stockings opened will trigger a global prize where one of the next 50 stockings opened will contain a bonus of 500 credits on top of the other prizes it contains.

Additionally, for every 5 stockings of each type you purchase, you'll receive either a gold or platinum stocking of that tier! So if you purchase 5 fancy stockings, you'll get a gold (or platinum) fancy stocking. Gold and platinum stockings are special and fill up only on Christmas and New Year's Day, respectively! These are tracked cumulatively, so you can safely split up purchases without losing out. Opening one of these stockings acts as if you had opened two of that tier, giving you double the prizes! There's no difference in prizes between gold and platinum beyond what day they fill on.

You'll also find a festive stocking to purchase for a gold keystone in the milestone wares shop.

Stocking Raffle
- All stocking purchases through the website will automatically enter you into a raffle drawn on January 1st for some rare prizes!
- All stocking purchases additionally award "a decorative gift voucher" - these can only be redeemed (LOTTERY EXCHANGE VOUCHER) by someone other than the owner, and provide 1 raffle entry to whomever you gift them to.

Grand Duel
Don't forget December is also the month of the Grand Duel, so expect to see Keroc announcing that in the coming days!

Celesmas Calendar
You'll find a large Celesmas Calendar floating just outside Esterport at v1422.
- Once per real life day, you can OPEN CALENDAR to claim a random prize.
- To be eligible for opening the calendar, you must have claimed 5 credit milestones for that day so far.
- Prizes include gold, chocolates, credits, lessons, blessings, stockings and more!

Misc happenings
- As usual, Ironbeard, the Tsinkin villages, and the Flintbeard dungeons will all open up this month.
- There's an Iron Realms-wide Celesmas event happening, details will be shared sometime later today.
- The Asura will make their move beginning sometime this week... good luck!
