There's a nasty rumor floating around that the current war on Ashtan is
a fixed fight. That's false. No aspect of this war is preordained, nor
has one side been _given_ an advantage over the other. The war is purely
a contest of resources, strategy, and skill - as wars are meant to be -
and the outcome is far from decided.

On a related subject, the gods and I have met and agreed that divine
disfavors should not be used for tactical purposes. In other words, it
is reasonable to expect that you will not receive a divine disfavor
_solely_ for being a militia member of an enemy organization. To make
sure we're getting a fresh start, all war-related divine disfavors have
been nullified. From this point on, any divine disfavor you receive will
have been for some specific act of disrespect or aggression toward a
deity.
