Mobiles

I've made a relatively sweeping change this morning that shouldn't
affect altogether too much but should be noted regardless. In order to
explain this, I'll explain a little about how mobiles work.
A given mobile has a certain level, just like your character, and the
mobile's maximum health and the damage they do is calculated as a
function of that level (along with some other variables that aren't
important here.) When a mobile resets after death, his health is reset
to that maximum value and the level stays the same.
Now, mobiles also have always had a maximum and minimum level value, but
they have never actually done anything. What I've done is change things
such that when a mobile resets after death, the mobile's level will
change to some value within the range of the maximum and minimum levels.
What this means is that a given mobile, with a maximum level of 100 and
a minimum level of 90, may be anywhere from level 90 to level 100 upon
reset. Because of this, there will be some variety in the strengths and
maximum health of like mobiles.
In almost all cases, the range of levels will never be more than 10, and
this will result in fairly small changes from time to time. You will
likely notice small changes in the worth of experience for a given
mobile, because the level is used to calculate that as well, but all of
these things will have a fairly small modulation. We will monitor this
change to be sure it has the desired effect on bashing.
