Bloodborn

I have made several changes to the Bloodborn class that I feel will
adequately address a number of the concerns that have been raised
concerning their balance as related to other classes. The primary
direction of these changes has been to emphasize the unique nature of
the Bloodborn's capacity for passive coupling of defensive and offensive
capabilities while limiting the overall impact of either through
specific changes I feel will ultimately leave the class strong while
permitting new avenues of offense against them. Some of these changes
will also affect the Vampire class, though we will be monitoring the
effects for each and this is certainly not a final consideration.

1. Bloodborn are no longer able to utilize any type of armour. This
change was instituted to reflect the specific nature of the dynamic
offense permitted through many of the rituals in Hematurgy that are
specifically reliant upon the offensive actions of the opponent against
the Bloodborn. In accordance with this, any Bloodborn who has previously
purchased artifact armour may message Me directly to receive a full
refund in bound credits.

2. The Meld ability in Corpus has been removed entirely. This skill has
been reliably cited as serving to provide an advantage against a number
of class tactics that have little feasible means of overcomingt the
advantage of this single skill.

3. The damage routine for Acid Blood has been rewritten in such a
fashion as to effectively limit the amount of damage that can be done.
This change is largely in response to several incidents wherein the
stacking damage from Acid Blood became absurdly large. This was never
the intent of the skill, thus the limiter.

4. A long-present bug with the Fortify defense has been fixed.
Previously, certain damage sources of various types were being
improperly negated based upon their total effective values, rather than
the specific variable regions. This has been cleaned up to more
specifically block damage sources of the appropriate origin and type.

These changes will be monitored and further changes may be implemented
depending upon the impact these changes may have.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Haernos, in the year 242 MA.
