Aamiran,
Despair is a gift, as any loyal follower of Esityi will tell you. Your words are dripping with Despair and Fear. You can tell yourself all the lies you wish, but you have shown the world the very truth you deny. When the pressure became too great, you let your Fear rule you. When the world called you out on it, you hid behind bravado in shame. You wish to rage at us in your impotence, to threaten to sacrifice your own people rather than give in.
You still have options left to you. Surrender to the Empire. The violence against the Aerie from us will stop. The taking of slaves from the Aerie will stop. Your people can become part of something more than just yourselves. Or you can partake in the...hypocritical ramblings of the Duirani Voice. At least we will make sense. Or, you can fade away, the Aerie overtaken by the forces threatening it all because you refused to yield.
It is not overly complicated. It is a choice. What is more important to you? Your pride? Your stubbornness? Or the continued existence of your people? You can alienate yourself further if you like, though at this point I doubt that is possible. This is not defiance, Aamiran, this is desperate bravado.
