The Empire's Recompense

Councilor Holgraid,

You should not be taking stock in the veracity of words in the wind, for they are as they are thusly named, rumours. I was simply commenting on how their treatments delivered by the Hammer's fair weather healers were dubious, but who am I to question the validity of religious miracles upon Albedos, especially in the streets of Delve?

As previously written, I am aware of what actions were taken by two of my citizens within Delve and the magnitude of what was wrought, unprovoked, against your ailing populace. I did not once ask for a pardon for them, for the onus is on them to resolve any statuses they hold with the Free City. What I asked instead was for the Council of Five to dispense with a trial in favour for a promise of punishment from the Empire, one that would not be extended if we had rejected your call for justice.

Since Bloodloch was brought to fulfill the role of military masters, we have continued our own preparations to deal with the Shil'tok raiders and nullify their would-be threat to Delve. If you desire to take full control of the situation, you are free to send Councilor Rhav or Lord-Provost Wahelei to spearhead the campaign, but conquerers of the vanquished will take their traditional trophies and spoils of war from the battlefield. Otherwise, we will yield our service of slaughter upon the mountain crags of Mount Helba as an offering of goodwill, free of further recompense.

I am,
Tyrant Elene Arcan-Tetzauh

Penned by my hand on Kinsday, the 9th of Lanosian, in the year 506 MA.
