Sapience,

Perhaps you've heard rumors about a token going around. Maybe you've even earned one yourself. It doesn't matter if you're from the coast or the mountains, these tokens are upheld without discrimination.

So.. what are Syssin tokens?

Syssin tokens are transferable contracts of service made by the Guild to reward contacts and allies. They are binding items those in possession have sworn to value. These tokens may be redeemed via the Syssin General in exchange for a varied number of predetermined services, as well as more open-ended services.

In exchange for a Syssin token, the Guild can:

- Perform contractual assassination.*
- Gather intelligence.
- Execute directed surveillance.
- Provide a meeting with the Umbral Council.
- Assist in training with our techniques.
- Offer up to 10,000 gold from our coffers.
- Fulfill any reasonable request approved by the General or a majority of the Umbral Council.*

* Contractual assassination is unavailable to be carried out on Spireans
nor any member of an organization covered by Spirean treaty.
* Any request that compromises Spirean law, ideals or safety will be refused.

These tokens are unique. You will know when you have received one based on instructions received. Do not bother forging them, we meticulously keep track of their unique identities. You are free to trade your token to others.

To redeem a token, make sure it ends in the Syssin General's hands alongside your wish, who will then delegate your request or personally carry it out.

These tokens are binding contracts and the Guild assures its best efforts will be put forth to fulfill any reasonably requested service. Redemption is final even in the case of the Guild's failure to execute to your standards.

In service to Spinesreach,
General Savas Sicarius

Penned by my hand on Kinsday, the 4th of Severin, in the year 492 MA.
