Reality check.

War is hell? I find it amusing that the primary voice of what war -is-
derives from those who are not participating in war. As for Alamar and
his actions, I shall take the liberty to clarify an important fact that
should be wide spread:

Alamar torched the forests. By doing such, he did cut down on herbal
growth. However, how many herbs do you think the druid and sentinel
guild has stocked? Enough to keep us supplied for quite some time.
Believe it or not, the common folk and those not involved in the war are
those who suffer. The druids and sentinels must now take the herbs they
have normally stocked up to sell and ration them amongst their allies,
knowing that selling herbs for profit could be detrimental in the
future.

This does not imply the druids and sentinels do not suffer. They do.
they suffer more than you can imagine. The forest is the most sacred in
their eyes and Alamar, a sentinel, has betrayed and defiled such.

For every Consanguine in need of mending vial (that is not involved in
the war), for every adventurer who needs a steady supply of health and
mana vials, and for the occasional idiot who just cannot get enough
goldenseal, my concerns regarding herbs and elixirs lie with you, for
you suffer at the hands of Alamar in your time of need and what did you
do to deserve such?

Cordially,
Duke Irawn D'baen.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Arios, in the year 124 MA.
