In-Between

Written by: Iridescent Sara De'nas, Siren of the Flame

This world could be so happy
A blinding light and smiling kind
This world could be so sad
Darkness' reign and laughing cold
A man rests upon the steps
Before his deity's beautiful altar
Wondering why he is always
Stuck right in between light and dark
A tree reaches out to him
Giving him shadow, a shimmer of in-between
Allowing a slight glimpse
Of blinding light and laughing cold
Of darkness' reign, and smiling kind
The choice is always his.

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Ios, in the year 56 MA.
