Poetry News Post #2137

A quick correction

While the poem-as-prayer that began this back-and-forth was comparatively general (a prayer that I hope any of the Faithful might find resonant), this response should be understood as purely personal.

You think I hide my face from all that's Dark,
Facing the Unknown uncomprehending?
An ignorance that calls out for remark
You say; "Foolish one, unapprehending."

In fact, I see the beauties of the gloom.
I sup on mystery no less than you.
But hollow for conundrums to consume,
Refracting through myself, I seek what's true.

I yearn to glimpse a world that cannot be
Without the fevered workings of the now-
I love even beyond what I can see,
And so for Paradise I swear my vow.

I flood my heart with Spirit's Ordered zeal
And swallow riddles Light and Flame reveal.

Penned by my hand on Falsday, the 23rd of Chakros, in the year 16 AC.
