In Midsummer, a new and previously unknown faction of Nazetu, calling
themselves the Nazedha Empire, made landfall upon Sapience. Originating
from a series of islands to the far west across the sea, the Nazedha
Empire was forged from the disparate tribes of the Nazetu homeland, and
they pay equal homage to their Dark Mother Chakrasul, and to a strange,
mysterious being that they call Lanu Du.

Their emperor, the Stormlord Baelak, traveled to each of the four cities
upon the continent; after making an alliance with Bloodloch, he
proceeded to demand subservience from the remaining cities, who
emphatically denied him. Promising to return in a month should the
cities wish to rethink their decisions, the Stormlord returned to his
hidden fleet, blessing his Empire with the favor of the Dark Mother and
promising to drown Sapience in blood.

What havoc this new Empire will wreak remains to be seen.
