The moon mender...

The full moon was badly crumbled
Those below were amazed and humbled
Voices could be heard as they flowed from the sky
Softly slurring their gentle cry

The midnight moon, once full and frozen
Laid up in the sky now broken...
Mejevsavelnel with the moon now shattered
Darkness shone on all that mattered

Life as they knew it, at the verge of end
Enemies had become good friends
The celestial carnage remained a mystery
Which bared no semblance to that of history

It began as quickly as it ended
Amidst the darkness the moon was mended
The silver tendrils disappeared to night.
Another day, another fight.

For some it is just past history
To others a long-forgotten mystery
In wonder and awe, from celestial throne
The balance restored by that of the unknown.

Penned by my hand on Closday, the 10th of Arios, in the year 489 MA.
