Matters of Harassment

Going forward, in addition to Announce #2945, it is our expectation as administrators that player leadership DO NOT handle any cases of sexual harassment or other associated concerns. This is far too delicate and uncomfortable a burden to place on our players who lead guilds, cities, and other organisations, and matters of harassment of this nature should be considered OOC problems for us to arbitrate.

Do not report these situations to your guild leaders. Instead, if you experience this treatment, you should report it to us via the Issue system. If a citizen or guild member brings these concerns to you, do not pursue them In Character – instead, urge them to file an issue so that we as administrators can handle these situations. Not only does this new policy prevent leaders from facing the unfortunate circumstance of navigating these situations, it also further protects people from unwarranted accusations and baseless rumours, both of which can be severely damaging to one’s livelihood as a player if the situation is misconstrued or misunderstood.

Thank you.
