Farewell

Hey folks,

With the Worldeater Saga having finally reached its conclusion (event posts should be up ASAP), the new class releasing tonight, and the final two mirror classes on the horizon for a release, my tenure with Aetolia has come to an end. Effective immediately, I will be stepping down as producer and away from the game as a whole to work elsewhere in IRE.

While this was a difficult decision that took a lot of consideration and thought for me to make, it's become clear over the course of the last few months that it's the correct one both for the game's continued health and for my own wellbeing and morale. After two years, I'd like to think that I've managed to right the ship and steer the game back from its previously off-course heading into an era of prosperity that I've no doubt will continue after I'm gone.

My successor(s) will no doubt have much more to say about what's to come, but I'm confident that Aetolia is in good hands, and I'm hopefully leaving behind an efficient, stable administrative structure to arm future producers for success.

I'd like to give a final thanks to everyone who went out of their way to support my vision and my team over the last few years, even when it often meant going against the grain of popular opinion and exposing yourself to insidious, pervasive negativity in the process. For those of you who bring positivity, good will, and an earnest willingness to engage in good faith to this game, I applaud you, and I would like to think that we strove together to show the vast potential of Aetolia, and that not everything is doom and gloom.

It's been a true privilege to work with some absolutely amazing people, but now it's time to move on.

Adieu,

Icti
