Taken for a red devil
Inside this skin I can't erase
Wearing cuffs upon my chest
Brandishing my pepper mace
Wanting so to be a kin
To souls who do not even care
To look at the heart of his brother
And see the blackness hidden there
Hushed with superficial silence
Or protester's static be fleeced
The drive of conquest automatic
The values voters hard release
An alien to my own kin
The hands my hands have bled beside
But what I need is why I bleed
As enemy to homestead eyes
To want to part out from this heart
And find among men space for me
Or float so miffed in endless drift
Forever waiting to be free

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Letum, in the year 128 AM.
