Early this morning, the gatekeeper of Stavenn, Rhav, witnessed peculiar behavior by one of the mail delivery slaves of the Republic. Snatching up the pesky ingrate, Rhav shook him down and found sensitive documents depicting various siege layouts and defense plans scribbled on an old piece of parchment. Rhav promptly alerted Stavenn of his discovery. Caitryn Kliko, Rennyn, Mathiaus, Sharatar and Sagron were present and came to deal with the matter at hand.

The slave finally fessed up to having been delivering Stavenn's secrets to her enemies in trade for freedom and piece of land by another city's guards. The group drug the slave to Ansol, the Imperial Executioner to lock up until they decide a worthy fate for him, before heading to speak to Nigometh, the slave trader and proprietor of the post office.

Nigometh discussed the flaws in using slaves to deliver their private letters and packages, and those gathered decided it was not safe to use slaves for this very reason. With that, they formed a plan to remedy the situation, and remove the risk of their secrets being exploited by the lesser beings.

What will the Republic do with their delivery slaves now?

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Halitus, in the year 83 AM.
