The light in the abyss

Diverge from paths that wreck you needlessly.
Heel sharply against the current. form a new lane,
lit succinctly by synaptic sparks that flit
like lights amidst the abyssal deeps.

Alight like the phytoplankton woken by the wake
of force which influences your bioluminescence.
However faint and mythical, its blessings
enlighten every typhoon trail you take.

How desperate, how brave you must become,
then, heart lashed to the groaning weaknesses of yesterday
Re-draw your course by plankton-light, mid-sea.
And be bold to take those routes that lead you home.

Penned by my hand on Closday, the 13th of Severin, in the year 472 MA.
