As the people of Sapience rushed to quell the threat, the strange gods clashed in the heavens above Skythrone once more and a shower of fulgent shards rained upon the land below. Cowering beneath the onslaught, the Atav and people of the Three Widows reeled before the nightmarish, unseen assassins of living air that now stalked the land. In a series of bloody clashes, the warriors of Sapience triumphed over the elemental denizens and reasserted some control over their land.

As the week went on and the incursions slowed, Tengetengti looked to the heavens above as the endless storm suddenly abated. With renewed courage, the timid Atav slowly climbed to the peak of Skythrone with Apianora, Dzekk, Rasani, and Aisling, looking skyward to find the god that he so desperately wished to see. In a flickering blossom of azure light, a strange creature, neither elemental nor mortal, emerged to treat with the pilgrims atop the mountain. Known as Saas, Acolyte of Air, the being spoke cryptically to the gathering before reaching a hand outward to touch the trembling Tengetengti.

A pact had been formed.

In a roar of seething power, Heva, the Speaker, materialized once more above Skythrone and its otherworldly power cascaded down the mountainside. Splitting the raging heavens above and quelling the storm, the being intoned, "BE NOT." and banished the reigning darkness. Tengetengti, taking upon the mantle of leader to the Atav people, promised that a peace and serenity would be found in the years to come and pledged to serve the Speaker. Now, the Azure Guard, a following of men and women dedicated to the worship of the Speaker has taken its place atop the lofty peak.

In the lowlands far below, the Research Society returns with their findings to the bustling city of Delve to begin their research in earnest and open their doors to those that helped to aid their cause. It remains to be seen how long the fragile tranquility that has followed will reign over Sapience with the strange gods that now rise from their hallowed prisons with each passing day.
