Being as this bug took me a week and is one of the strangest edge cases I've ever seen, I'm making it a changelog that I fixed it.

If you have a linked pack with someone, the shared maximum will now be the minimum of the two packs. So if one pack can hold 666 items, and one 100, the max will be 100.

It used to just be luck as to which the system decided mattered.
