Crafting

Hi folks,

Lately we've been concerned with the crafting community and the general toxic atmosphere that has been prevalent within it in recent times. Due to this, we're implementing some changes to help control this.

Firstly, I've created an official crafting organization. One of the biggest problems with the crafting community is that it all took place on a player clan - something that's generally outside our realm to moderate. By creating an official organization with its own channel, we can establish some ground rules for people to follow while using the channel to make sure things stay civil for everybody. Refer to HELP CRAFTER CHANNEL RULES.

Those of you who were in the crafting clan have been automatically placed into the new crafting organization, and the clan has been dissolved. If you want to join the new crafting organization, you can JOIN CRAFT GUILD at any crafting office. As this organization is now becoming an official channel between us and players, the 20,000 gold fee for joining has been removed and it is now free to join.

The syntax for the crafters' guild is as follows:
CRAFTERS <msg> - Talk on the channel.
CRAFTERSOFF - Stop listening to the channel.
CRAFTERSON - Start listening to the channel.
CRAFTERSTELLS - The channel history.
CRAFTERSWHO - Who is online.
CRAFTHELP - The orghelp files for crafters.

Secondly, I've removed all mortal abilities to reject or approve designs - only Becue will be able to approve or reject. This is a temporary measure intended to let the community heal. We'll eventually restore the ability for mortals to reject/approve, but it's going to be handled differently to how it was before. More details for that will be posted as we get closer to turning mortal rejections/approvals back on.

It's our hope that these changes will lead people to have a better experience with crafting in the future. Feel free to message Becue or myself with any questions you might have.

Penned by my hand on Kinsday, the 10th of Severin, in the year 454 MA.
